Admission Notice for PG Diploma in Patinformatics (Patent Informatics)

Patinformatics is fast emerging as a science of analyzing patent information which supports decision making in research, technology and business planning.

CSIR – URDIP is inviting applications for its one year full time post-graduate diploma course in the field of Patinformatics. The course has been designed to train the candidates in the art of patent searching, reading and analysis for the purpose of creating patent landscapes, identifying research gaps, competitive intelligence, new venture evaluation, patent portfolio management and techno-legal studies (Patentability, Validity, Infringement and Freedom to Operate). The course modules are designed to include a blend of class room teaching and hands on training on live projects of different types. On successful completion of the program the candidates will be awarded “Post-Graduate Diploma in Patinformatics” by the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), a university established by an act of the Parliament. The young professionals trained in this discipline will find growing job opportunities in Corporate Planning, Business Development, IP and R&D Management functions as well as in Law firms, Consultancy companies and other Knowledge processing organizations.
